The Fierce Fight For AB-279
Important Note Regarding AB-279

However, there are still ways to make a difference and help make sure that people with developmental disabilities in California continue to receive the support services they need to live quality lives. Click below to read a letter from the Los Angeles Coalition of Service Providers, Sponsor of AB-279, Holden
Taking Action in Support of Services
On August 30th, advocates from JNCS joined the rally in Sacramento to show their support for AB 279. Our folks traveled from as far as Los Angeles to help make sure service providers receive the funding needed to continue to support people in their communities. Thank you for making your voices heard!

Spotlight: Jeremy Bernstein

Jeremy is known as a master negotiator: highly outspoken, the teen could get himself out of any trouble and has no trouble speaking in front of a crowd. His outgoing and incredibly social personality lends itself well to promoting the jewelry business that he started with the help of his mom. When he met JNCS staff Daniel An, the pair clicked like nothing else: Jeremy brings out this quick wit and humor in Daniel and in turn the more level-headed Dan offers Jeremy guidance much like an older brother would. He is currently learning a lot about responsibility while in school and in the future Jeremy hopes to move out on his own and continue to run his jewelry business independently.
