Zoology Trip to Tofino

The Grade Twelve students, along with their teacher Kaitlyn Cramb, participated in a four-day Zoology field trip to Ucluelet and Tofino to explore the bountiful sea life in the intertidal zones, the flora and fauna of the coastal temperate rainforest and abundant native animals, birds and insects.

Earth Day - The High School Student Council is leading the way this Earth Day by initiating a "Lights Out" day on Monday, and encouraging everyone to dress in earth tones.

Cell Phone on Campus - We respectfully request that you minimize your cell phone use while on school grounds. Let’s join together and show our children that we value their company by being present for them. Let’s be thoughtful about using our cell phone in the presence of our children and their peers. Let’s hold our values in our hearts and honour Kim John Payne’s pro-connection message by role-modelling the kind of behaviour we expect of our children as they grow into free adults.

Hot Lunch Program- Healthy home-cooked meals are on their way! We are thrilled to be launching this trial program for Wednesday, May 16. Stay tuned for details!

Panorama Photos - The new panorama photo is available to order at www.lifetouchevents.com. Use the password: vancouverwaldorf2018 to access the order page. Online ordering expires on June 30, 2018. Photos will be mailed directly to your home. Please note there will be a $7.00 shipping and handling fee applied to each order.

Finally, it is feeling like Spring! We have some sweet items in at the Red Door Store for your nature table corners.

Grade 1 Social

Grade 1 had a fun night at North Shore Bowl on April 12 followed by a tipple at The District. Look at that form!

The Red Door Store will be popping up at Got Craft? Spring Edition – Vancouver’s largest indie craft fair. Line up early to receive 1 of 50 swag bag giveaways. Entrance fee is $3 in advance online or $5 at the door with 40% off by bringing in one of the event postcards which will be available at the Red Door Store soon! At the Maritime Labour Centre, 1880 Triumph Street in East Vancouver. Come and show Mary and Ella your love and support by flashing us your smile and offering us a 5-minute break here and there.

High School Ultimate Tournament

Our soggy Ultimate Frisbee team played against other local independent schools and placed 3rd in the tournament this Monday. Way to go Waldorf! Check out our Instagram feed to see more photos.
