Celebrating 100 Years of Waldorf Education

Dear <<First Name>>,

This week we co-hosted a fantastic fundraising event in collaboration with Synergy Collective and raised over $5200 for our Community Fund which helps to support initiatives like the Grade 12 service trip, class exchanges, or playground enhancements to name just a few. Thank you so much to everyone who ventured out in the snow to enjoy the music and food, and each other's company at Just Singin Round. The audience was made up of a beautiful multi-generational cross-section of our vibrant community; it was a joy to raise spirits with all who attended, volunteered and performed. I was especially touched by the young people - our teenage students and former students - who came to support their friend Ella in her debut JSR performance.

Education’s Role in Curbing Teen Anxiety Teen anxiety and depression are at an all-time high. There is something amiss in our children’s worlds - and perhaps our adult ones as well. Schools can make changes to help students reduce their anxiety.

Teaching Empathy: Essential for Students, Crucial for Humanity Empathy is a skill that can be learned and mastered, and we are gaining a better understanding of how to teach it in the classroom.

The Future Starts Now: Student Advocacy and Activism Young people often have the time, energy, and idealism to address the injustice they see in the world. And now more than ever, our youth are using these resources to work at changing public policy.

The human being does not stand still, but is a being in the process of becoming. The more we enable ourselves to become, the more we fulfill our true mission.
