Welcome back after Spring Break. The campus has been abuzz with the sound of joyful children returning to class for the spring term. We are thrilled to be welcoming so many new students to the Vancouver Waldorf School this term. Please be sure to keep a lookout for new faces at dropoff and pick up, and introduce yourself.
Also during Spring Break, we welcomed our new honey bees to the campus. On these slightly brighter days, there is a good amount of activity around the entrance to the hive! The bees are busy collecting pollen and building their brood.
If we treat them respectfully, the bees will, for the most part, ignore us and carry on with their work. We ask that everyone stay 8 feet back from the hive, and do not approach directly in front of their entrance. Bees need clearance before they fly up toward the sky. So that they do not become agitated, please stay outside this range unless you are with Jason, our beekeeper. Be mindful when interacting with bees to approach calmly, without fear, and to send the bees love!
In the meanwhile, I have 3 more copies of Bees, a series of lectures by Rudolf Steiner, for sale for $25 (tax included). See me in the Communications Office if you would like to purchase a copy.
