Patchwork Quilt Project

Grade 8 has embarked on a patchwork quilt project with volunteer and former VWS teacher, Jill Allerton, affectionately known as Mrs A. The students will donate their 26” x 29” quilts to the Lions Gate Hospital Maternity Ward to benefit premature babies. Mrs A taught at VWS for 25 years as Handwork teacher. Thank you for coming back to share your wonderful talents!

Waldorf Education is a unique gift that parents give to their children, that dedicated teachers give to their students and, that our alumni give to the world.

"What is necessary is that through the medium of what is flexible and artistic we give the child in picture form, perceptions, ideas and feelings which are capable of metamorphosis, which can grow together with the soul simply because the soul itself is growing. But before this can happen there must be a living relationship between the child and the teacher, not a dead relationship that has grown out of dead educational concepts." ~ Rudolf Steiner

Many blessings
