Heritage Lottery Fund bid
At the end of February, we met with the consultants who are working on the Round 1 bid to the Heritage Lottery Fund. Presentations were given by the architects, landscape architect, activity planner and interpretation designer. With all the consultants’ proposals costed up, we found ourselves with a £12 million project. We've asked consultants to do more work with a view to making significant cost savings. We also reluctantly concluded that an application to the Heritage Lottery Fund on the 16th March was unrealistic and that we would defer the application until June. The extra three months will give us the opportunity to strengthen our bid.

Stakeholder Open Event
Thank you to everyone who attended the drop-in session on the 22nd February to review the initial proposals being put forward by the consultants. Your feedback was invaluable and comments are now being used to refine the draft proposals.  The final proposals will be made available in May. Please click here to review the event report.
