In partnership with the Partnership for New York City and Grant Associates,  6,000 sophomores representing 140+ high schools (many that have not had these opportunities) were matched with 180+ employers for week-long activities in exploring and discovering future pathways. Check out the video below for highlights from a truly impactful week!

Music for this video was provided by our very own CTE Students at Crotona International High School. Check out their Soundclound HERE!

We Are DOE

Throughout the 2019–2020 school year, The Morning Bell's  We Are DOE series will highlight some of the everyday heroes of NYC’s public schools. Featuring a cross-section of the DOE’s 140,000+ employees across the five boroughs, We Are DOE showcases some of the many unsung people who help keep the largest school system in the country running daily.

Recently featured were, Kyle Pierre, a Career and Technical Education (CTE) teacher apprentice, and his mentor, Phillip Donohue, of the Academy of Innovative Technology in Brooklyn. See the full article HERE

Not our CTE Students!

44 students from Bronx Design and Constructive Academy, Boys & Girls High School, Bronx International High School, School of Cooperative Technical Education, High School for Construction Trades, Engineering and Architecture, William E. Grady CTE High School, and Queens Technical High School decided to work their way through midwinter recess. They successfully complete our Midwinter Recess CTE Construction Mentoring program where they received their 10 Hour OSHA certification, visited apprenticeship training facilities, spoke directly with industry professionals, did hands-on work, and shared final presentations.
Williamsburg High School for Architecture and Design seniors burned the midnight oil to prepare for their Black History Month presentations at the Dept. of Buildings, celebrating important African American Architects and Engineers.
