Next week, CATS is hosting a meeting to share the latest with everyone’s favorite Rail Trail project: the pedestrian crossing of the tracks between East-West and New Bern stations.
The South End Connector will be an at-grade, pedestrian/bicycle rail crossing across the LYNX Blue Line light rail tracks. There will be a meeting for the general public on the October 18. At the meeting, the project team will share the location of the crossing, which will be between Tremont Avenue and Remount Road.
Design work for technical specifications of the crossing (including what it will look like) will begin in early 2019.
Details on the meeting:
Thursday, October 18th, 2018
6:00 – 7:00 p.m.
Charlotte Powerhouse Studio, 1507 Camden Road
Bland Street LYNX Station
Please plan to join us on the 18th to learn more about this important work!
There is also a meeting specifically for nearby businesses and property owners on October 16th at 3:30 p.m. If you are not a neighboring business or property owner, please plan to attend the meeting on the 18th instead.
