GENETIC CHOIR / SPRING 2018
"I went to Leeuwarden to listen, to wander urban space for a few hours with sustained attention to sound. We recognized that once we’ve started consciously devoting sustained attention to the sounds around us we experience space and environment in pleasurable new ways. This power to transform space can, in turn, transform us."

Chris Tonelli, Assistant Professor of Popular Music at the University of Groningen, writes about his experience as audience member in our Loop-Copy-Mutate project in Leeuwarden in December. Read the full article here.

The concerts of Loop-Copy-Mutate are for now concluded, but we intend to follow up the project in the future and you can still get involved!

We just put the concert software and our working methods online for anyone to use. Learn more here about how you can contribute a sound to the Freesound database, lead your own soundwalk and interact with our open-source software.

GENETIC CHOIR WORKSHOPS
SPACE / SOUND / BODIES
May 26-27, 2018, Amsterdam

Our body, the space around us and our voice are all subtly connected: if one changes, the other two are affected. To become more aware of this triple interaction and be able to play with it is the focus for these two days with the Genetic Choir Ensemble in May.
