I’m from Miami, FL and I lived there my entire life until I moved to Pittsburgh to attend medical school. I knew since I was a child that I wanted to be a doctor because I wanted to help people live a better and healthier life. I spent a summer in New York almost five years ago and loved it! I knew from that experience that I wanted to attend medical school in the northeast if possible because I felt it was a better fit for my personality and the strong hospital infrastructure would truly allow me to experience amazing patient centered care. The choice was easy to come to Pitt. I felt that I would be supported by those around me and I knew I would genuinely be happy.

Fun facts: I didn’t learn how to ride a bike until I turned 11 years old. Once I did learn I taught my sister. I have 6 siblings in total (my sister and I are the oldest living). I’m not a fan of the beach and didn’t go very often when I lived in Miami. I love stuffed animals (which anybody who knows me thinks is odd)!!! I love cartoons! I’ve never been to Disney World even though I’m from Florida. I have a terrible sweet tooth and just try to avoid sweets altogether if I can because it’s my Achilles heel, but if someone offers me candy I won’t refuse it.
