Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and to everything.” --Plato

Sumer Is Icumen In

First things first, if you haven't called your Senators about this abomination of a "health" "care" bill, go do it now.  I'll wait... In the event you are stalling because you need a phone number you don't have, now you don't have that excuse...

Done?  Alrighty then -- Happy Summer Solstice.  If you happen to be in the Southern Hemisphere, Happy Winter Solstice.  And let me know if you're in the Southern Hemisphere, because I have *so* many questions for you!

Some days, weeks... months... call for musical interludes, this seems to be one of them. Here is where my heart is today.

Merry it is while summer lasts with the song of birds, indeed.  :D
I don't have much to say about this except that it's just very cheerful and it made me happy.
It's a CE1679 guitar!  So cute!  And lovely song too.
Ancient Greek hymn to the Sun -- seems appropriate to include!
From the  video, "the Cuneiform text clearly indicated specific names for lyre strings, and their respective musical intervals -- a sort of "Guitar tablature", for lyre!" In the event you were wondering (as I was) how they heck they managed to reconstruct this, from ~BCE1400s...
