Local Goodwill secures financing for its mission to 'End Poverty through the Power of Work'

Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona and the Phoenix IDA partnered recently to secure financing to support Goodwill’s growth and evolution.

Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona obtained $18,000,000 in private activity bond financing to continue their mission to educate and prepare those who need a hand up to enter the workforce and transform their lives through the power of work.

Bond proceeds will support the infrastructure for Goodwill locations across the Valley. The location at 2626 W. Beryl Avenue will continue to be operated by Goodwill as its corporate headquarters. The remaining sites will continue to be operated by Goodwill as retail sites for collecting, processing, and selling donated goods that support Goodwill’s job training and career placement missions.

The Phoenix IDA is honored to partner with community-serving organizations, like the Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona, to advance economic growth and opportunity through access to capital.

Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to ending poverty through the power of work. Goodwill takes a holistic approach to employment by providing job seekers the tools to feel confident, purpose-driven, and successful. Goodwill empowers individuals, strengthens families, and builds stronger communities.
