Join us next weekend as Kinloch Farm takes part in the 26th annual Fauquier County Fall Farm Tour! We will host a variety of activities including field tours, educational presentations, hayrides, tractor display, children’s play area, and concessions for purchase. When Pigs Fly Catering will be on site from 11 am - 2 pm serving Kinloch Farm Burgers and Hidden Creek Farm Barbecue. Aberdeen Angus Genetics and Grazing Management with Kevin Jennings

Learn about Kinloch Farm’s cattle and grazing management practices. Our Aberdeen Angus herd can be seen in the pastures all day. It is calving season so mothers and their young calves are a feature.

Honeybee Demo with Henry Brunow

Learn about Kinloch Farm’s apiary and practices. The bee activity will be up close in our observation chamber.

Riparian Tours with Brian Mayell, John Brown, and Christina Snyder

Our Conservation Team will lead walks to discuss the importance of protecting & cultivating these wet areas. There will be a hay wagon ride to Mill Run Stream.

• John Marshall Soil and Water Conservation District (10 am - 2 pm)

  • John Marshall Soil and Water Conservation will be stationed at the Mill Run Riparian Area to discuss the positive ecological impacts of their program here at Kinloch Farm.

• Virginia Working Landscapes (10 am - 4 pm)

  • Virginia Working Landscapes will have an informational booth set up at the farm center and will conduct ongoing native plant walks in our riparian area.

• Clifton Institute (10 am - 12 pm)

  • The Clifton Institute will be onsite discussing their Kestrel study research project and will have an informational booth at the farm center.

• American Farmland Trust (10 am - 4 pm)

  • Information will be available about AFT programs in our region, including the Mid-Atlantic Sustainable Grazing Initiative.

• Piedmont Environmental Council (10 am - 4 pm)

  • Information will be available about the important Conservation programs ongoing in our region.

• Loudoun County Extension Office Rainfall Simulator (10 am - 4 pm)

  • Loudon County Extension Office will have their rainfall simulator on site to demonstrate how best to capture rainfall when we get it and how vital vegetative cover is in our fields.

Kinloch Farm Store

Shop for your first taste or restock of grassfed beef cuts after visiting the farm. The Kinloch Farm Store at The Archwood Green Barns, in The Plains, will be open during the farm tour from 10 am - 6 pm and is open year-round, Thursday to Sunday!

Farmers’ Market

Also located at the Archwood Green Barns, our partner farmers’ market will be hosting a special pop-up Saturday market. Stop by and shop at one of Northern Virginia’s leading markets—all Virginia grown/produced. Come visit again any Sunday from 10am - 2pm!
