As we live out our life remember that what really matters is not what we bought, but what we built, not what we got but what we shared, not our competence, but our character, and not our success but our significance.  Live a life that matters.

Dear School Community:
As we begin this new trimester and the new decade the faculty and administration remain committed to providing our students with excellence in teaching and our families with excellence in service.  We take seriously the responsibility to educate the leaders of tomorrow so that they will think in a way that will meet the needs of their time. As a faculty, we are committed to showing up each day with a growth mindset and standards of character, competence, and compassion.

I invite you to join with us by loving your children so much so that you choose to be their pillar but not their foundation. They will need to build their foundation on their own, one success and one failure at a time. Allow your children to handle the tough times by not stepping in and handling them for them.  Please remember that anyone can do easy but life has hard moments. You do your children a disservice by shielding them from these experiences.
Together, let us foster a fortitude in our students that will allow them to persist through challenges and to make decisions that are aligned with their values, aspirations and moral compass. As we enter 2020, I encourage you to sit down as a family and identify 20 absolutes for your family as you live out this year.  My daughter had each member of our family write ten intentions for 2020.  We are do review them each month and evaluate our commitment to living them out.
Happy New Year to our School Family!
Ms. Coombs
