Auditions

We will be hosting two open auditions for Flaming Idiots,  our upcoming Spring 2020 production:

1. Sunday December 8 at 2:00 pm - Arts Centre, Upstairs - 8713 Main St. Osoyoos
2. Tuesday, December 10 at 7:00 pm - Big Blue Building - 5840 Airport St. Oliver

This is a contemporary farce, telling the story of two postal workers with a dream and their efforts to become successful despite themselves. Carl and Phil (or Carla and Phyllis) decide that the ladder to success at the post office is missing a few rungs. They know that big money is waiting for people with entrepreneurial spirit and sound business judgement. They have lots of the spirit but little  judgement, and their new gourmet health food restaurant flounders.

​Zippy's, a popular crosstown spot, has been crowded ever since a notorious mobster was shot there over twenty years ago. What if someone could get murdered in their restaurant?

8 actors required; mix of male and female, ages flexible 20s to 70s. No preparation required. Cold read from script.

Seeking Directors and Show Ideas

Each year we strive to stage three productions (Fall, Winter and Spring). 

We are looking for past, current and future directors and producers to come forward with show ideas for our next  season. If you have a favorite play you want to see staged in the South Okanagan, why not consider directing or producing it? It's a great chance to revitalize your artistic juices!

Alternately, if you are interested in directing, but don't have your mind set on a specific play, let us know and perhaps we can explore some options together. If you have theatre experience but have not directed before, perhaps we can team you up with someone in our group be your mentor and assistant.

Once we have a draft list of plays and proponents, the final selection is up our Board of Directors. We look to have our season locked in and ready to announce on opening night of our spring production, which this year is at the end of April.
