NEW DATE!!!!!
at 6 PM

This will be a "potluck" supper, so give Rosemary a call and let her know what you will bring: and also be sure to bring music and your instruments for music-making after the eats!

Please RSVP by January 27th.

Dear Colleagues,

Happy New year!
Well, the past weekend's weather was really incredible! Spent Sunday in the city with my new granddaughter. People are walking around in shorts in NYC in January!

Like the song goes:
"I'm as restless as a willow in a windstorm,
I'm as jumpy as a puppet on a string,
I'd say that I have spring fever,
but I know it isn't Spring..."

Hope to see you all at Rosemary's house on Feb. 1st for our potluck dinner and music soirée.

UPCOMING PROGRAM IN MARCH (March 4th, 10:15 AM at RCM): Rockland Symphony Orchestra's new Conductor and Music Director will speak with us. Let's give him a warm welcome - our Guild and the Rockland Symphony have long been allied in bringing excellence in music and music education to Rockland County through our joint project of the Concerto Competition and in many other ways. We look forward to continuing and building on that friendship under Mr. Chancellor's leadership of the RSO.
It's not too soon to be thinking about our Young People's Auditions and Concerto Competition, which will be happening this year on May 3rd. Christine Renstrom chairs this double event, along with her committee of Marie Cowen, Tedo Wyman and Carole Tilson.

The forms will be updating on the website by February 1.

If you have questions, especially if you are new to the Guild or new to Auditions, please call or contact Christine. or 358-6693

If you know you will need us to mail you the forms and instructions, let Christine know. Otherwise, please download the forms on the website in FEBRUARY.

The rules and regulations will be the same as last year, so you can read now about auditions on our website

We look forward to having a great group of young musicians playing for the judges for adjudication or for the Concerto Competition!
Your V.P. Carole Tilson sends greetings and thanks to everyone involved in this year's Music Marathon weekend. We were able to live-stream the event and this brought more donations from our savvy students! This, combined with lovely performances and help from teachers and student volunteers made this year's Marathon a successful community venture. The performances are archived on our RCMTG Facebook page - and we've had over 2000 viewers there, so check it out! And thanks again to all who helped out.
