MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
John Nakanishi
John Nakanishi with his wares at the TBG Family Marketplace.
Seasons Greetings to CAA members, friends, and family!

I love the holiday feeling that begins right after Thanksgiving and rolls into December. I look around and enjoy all the holiday decorations, music, and special events that start happening! One event not to miss this year is the Mayor’s Tree Lighting on Friday, December 2, in Todos Santos Plaza. CAA will once again run a booth there, directing kids in a fun holiday craft to make and take home with them. For those who have signed up to volunteer for this event, you will enjoy the smiles and appreciation as you help the kids create their art.

December is also a time to review, reflect, and reminisce about the good times we had. An event coming up is a time to do just that with other CAA members: celebrating the year at our annual dinner. This year’s dinner celebration will be on Tuesday, December 13, at Guadalajara Grill (see below—sign up by December 2!). It’s a great time to catch up as well as to meet some new members.

We’re also looking forward to the new year. For CAA, that means celebrating 2023 as the year of our 60th anniversary! We can all have fun promoting art as we take advantage of opportunities to join the festivities this coming year. It should be a great year of celebration!

So as this year comes to a close, I would like to give a big THANK-YOU to the entire CAA board of directors and volunteers who stepped up this year, gave of their time and talents, and helped make our CAA events a success. I look forward to working with you all in 2023. Wishing all of you Happy Holidays!
Concord will hold its annual Mayor's Tree Lighting in Todos Santos Park on Friday, December 2 from 5:30 - 8pm. This is a wonderful community celebration with music, horse-and-buggy rides, a visit from Santa, and all the sights and sounds of the holidays!

CAA will be hosting a make-and-take booth for children (and the young at heart). Please consider volunteering for a shift! We are especially in need of people for the 5 - 8 timeslot. For more information, and to sign up, please use the button below!

It's Election Time...for CAA Officers!
Please take a moment to vote for 2023 officers. Several of the 2022 officers are running for different positions. Patti St Denis is retiring as Vice-president but will remain Program Chair. Thank you, Patti, for continuing in a key role! Sharon is running for Vice-president; John for Treasurer; Catherine for President; and Liz Roberts for Secretary.

Deena Sheranko is our new Communications Chair. She will be overseeing publicity and social media in 2023. Thank you, Pat Calabro, for your years of very effective service in that role!

You can vote for this slate or write-in yourself or another member.
