Two Books We are Loving Right Now

This month we chose two books focused on helping you overcome fears, recognize your worth, and encourage you to live your best life.

Bee Fearless: Dream Like a Kid

In Bee Fearless, part memoir, part business guide, Mikaila--now fifteen--shares her personal journey and special brand of mindful entrepreneurship and offers helpful tips and guidance for young readers interested in pursuing their own ventures, instilling in them the bee-lief that they can bee fearless and achieve their dreams too.

Although written by a young adult, she does share some good advice that is beneficial to even the most seasoned of entrepreneurs. It is refreshing to hear a success story as told from a new perspective. You can overcome your fears and go after your dreams!
Blessed and Transformed: Living the Life God Intended

This is Dr. Bennett's latest Women's Bible Study. The short study focuses on us recognize the blessings received every day and how those blessings transform us to live the life God intended for us. A life filled with joy and hope despite our circumstances.

3 Tips
This month we are providing three tips to help you successfully connect with others through online networking.
There are many ways you can connect with others online. Below are some tips to help you successfully engage using three (3) different online platforms.

Tip 1: Facebook
Facebook is an effective tool for staying in touch with friends, family members, and colleagues, but it’s also a great place to exchange ideas and share opinions. On your Facebook page, connect with others by asking questions and exchanging ideas. I recently posted a question on Facebook regarding my upcoming book, Career Advice for High School Students. In light of the pandemic, I thought it vital to check with others to make sure I wasn't neglecting an important topic. I am so glad that I did because I received a couple of topics definitely worth including in the book.

Tip 2: Instagram - Building authentic online relationships is more important now than ever. For millennial women, Instagram is the shining star. One way to connect with big thinkers like you is to join a group chat -- otherwise known as Instagram Pods -- where there are up to fifteen like-minded accounts that want to game the Instagram “algorithmic timeline. Instagram Pods, allow users to post a link to the content that they want to be liked and commented on -- with the hopes that the post will go to the top of the feed and reach a larger audience. This helps individuals engage. Once you have built that following, you can start direct messaging people individually.

Tip 3: LinkedIn - As a business network LinkedIn is great for engaging other professionals like yourself. It is often used to share ideas, collaborate on projects, and build credibility as an expert in an industry. One way to connect on LinkedIn is to hold a virtual meetup where you connect with individuals to talk about things that are important to the group. It's like having a cup of coffee with someone except you are doing it remotely using Zoom, WebEx, Skype, or another online platform.

Dr. Bennett recently shared ten tips for successful networking on LinkedIn in this week's
blog article. Be sure to check it out!

Next Month:

As a result of publishing four books, I get a lot of requests asking me to share tips on how I did it. Next month, I am going to share three tips on how to write a book and in October I will provide three more tips on how to successfully self-publish.
