Dear <<First Name (Όνομα)>>,
Over the next three weeks, the Orthodox Church invites us to prepare for Great Lent. We do this by slowly weaning ourselves from food and towards humility, forgiveness and repentance. Pay extra attention to the Sunday Gospel readings, as they help us make this transition.
Glory to God, Lent means that Spring is coming!
Your Clergy,
Fr. Nicholas & Fr. Alexey

St Nicholas Prayer Chain
Many people wish they could help others in their time of need, even if only to pray for them. Those who join this group will be emailed the prayer requests of those who ask for the parish group to pray for them.
To submit a prayer request, email it to fralexandros@stnicholas.org. Make sure to mention it is for the email prayer chain, and only include the details you wish to be shared.
|
|
Note about privacy: Prayer requests may not always come with an explanation. A parishioner may prefer privacy. These emails are sacred, and not meant to spread parish gossip. Requests will be simplified and may simply read “Please pray for a woman who’s moving into long-term care on Monday.” Or “Add Maria to the prayer list.” Please do not contact the clergy for additional details about requests.

IS OUR CHURCH IN YOUR WILL?
A beautiful way to honor God is to remember St Nicholas Cathedral in your Will. It is the ultimate expression of gratitude for all the blessings God and His Church have bestowed on you and your family.
In doing this, you also enable our parish to continue growth and development of programs that teach and inspire our children and future leaders, help those in need, and preserve the Orthodox Christian faith, by carrying on its sacred ministry of love, hope and faith.
If you are so inspired, please contact Fr. Alexandros (fralexandros@stnicholas.org) to discuss including the church in your Estate Planning or leaving a specific legacy gift.
For what you give in this lifetime is yours for eternity!
