This is Sunita Damai, this is Manisha Nath and this is Tejana Khanal and they are 17 years old.
Thanks to our program Rato Baltin (Red Cube) they are users and defenders of the menstrual cup since 2017. It allowed them to abandon the practice of Chhaupadi that banishes girls and women from their homes while they menstruate.
Thanks to your donations during 2018 we were able to offer Sunita, Manisha and Tejana a place where to live, rice and extra English classes for them to continue their studies. Likewise, they have become mentors of the program itself by helping their communities to fight against the menstruation taboo in Nepal and mitigating its disastrous consequences.
Their history could be the story of so many girls and women in Nepal excluded by the mere fact of menstruating. To do so, we depend on the support of generous donors like you. To implement the program in one municipality we need to reach the amount of €14,516.
Donate here now to help us end this stigma in Nepal and make it easier for girls and women to continue attending school and be active in public spaces.
Thank you for changing lives!
