M4A HELD FIVE SEPARATE COUNTY TOWN HALL MEETINGS IN FEBRUARY AND MARCH. THE PURPOSE OF THE EVENTS WAS TO RECEIVE FEEDBACK FROM THE COMMUNITY ON THE TOP NEEDS FACING OLDER ADULTS, PEOPLE OF ALL AGES WITH DISABILITIES, AND THEIR CAREGIVERS. M4A ALSO RECEIVED OVER 240 COMMUNITY NEEDS ASSESSMENT FORMS. BELOW IS THE HIGHEST NEEDS IDENTIFIED FOR EACH COUNTY IN THE M4A REGION:

M4A offers in-service training at no cost to various agencies, organizations, and civic groups. Our staff specializes in a variety of topics that impact older adults, caregivers, and people with disabilities. If you are interested in having M4A provide training,

M4A wants to thank our many partners in St. Clair County for the support we have received so far in planning our first large fundraising event to provide meals to homebound seniors. The lunch event will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at the Center for Education & Performing Arts in Pell City.

M4A's Caregiver Program (Alabama Cares) hosted its first Lunch & Learn event in the City of Alabaster for caregivers who wanted to receive additional information, training, and support. Keynote speakers provided training on various topics including respite services; veteran's benefits; stress reduction; and understanding your mental health.

M4A is planning a Lunch & Learn event in the other four counties over the next few months.
