M4A's Feeding Frenzy BBQ Event was a huge success! Read all about it below.
As part of M4A's Senior Meal Challenge Campaign, we hosted our first fundraising event in Pell City on May 11th. The purpose of the event was to raise money to remove over 340 homebound seniors from the Elderly Nutrition Program waiting list. Hundreds of county residents and business professionals came out to support the cause and eat BBQ.

The M4A Feeding Frenzy BBQ Event was a huge success and was covered by WIAT 42 News and Live Radio 94.1 the River. Click the button below to watch the live news coverage and read the news article.

The seven senior centers in the county attended and participated by holding a "Bake Sale Competition" which helped M4A raise funds for the cause. Their hard work and contribution raised hundreds of dollars at the event to help feed the seniors in their local communities. We are so grateful for their hard work and contribution!

M4A is pleased to report we raised over $12,000, had over 20 sponsors participate, and sold over 550 tickets!  The St. Clair County Commission also passed an official Resolution supporting M4A and our event. A copy of the Resolution can be found here.

We are so thankful for our event sponsors and donors and want to give them a shout out below.

We look forward to working with our St. Clair county partners to host our next annual BBQ Feeding Frenzy event in June, 2018.
M4A's Elderly Nutrition Program launched it's 2017 Senior Meal Challenge campaign to raise additional funds to remove over 1,000 home bound seniors from our waiting list and provide them with nutritious delivered meals. The BBQ event was the first of many we will be hold to raise additional funding.

Alabama is ranked as one of the top 10 states in the nation with the highest rates of food insecurities for seniors. M4A’s Elderly Nutrition Program helps to tackle this problem but we cannot do it alone.

Help us spread the word and encourage folks to "take the Senior Meal Challenge".
  • A $25 donation can provide meals for a week for a senior on our waiting list.
  • A $100 donation can provide meals for a month for a senior in need.
  • A $1,200 donation can provide meals for an entire year for a senior in need.
  • A donation of any amount is greatly appreciated and will go directly to feed a senior in need.
Donations can be mailed to P.O. Drawer 618, Saginaw, AL  35137. Attn: Senior Meal Challenge.
