Please drop off new unwrapped toys for all ages (infants through teens) starting Nov. 1 through Dec. 15 at MHM. Gift cards (Walmart or Amazon) and monetary donations are greatly appreciated as well. All monetary donations can be matched when given through the Flanzer Philanthropic Trust. Click on the link to learn more: MHM will be holding a lottery for 150 of our client families during the first part of December. Details on how to enter will be posted on our social media pages and website at the end of November. Want to play Santas helper on the Dec 17th? email us at to sign up.
Baby shower big success
We cannot thank donors enough! MHM raised over $7,000 and answered the prayers of many of our mothers. Due to the  generosity of so many, we were able to purchase 25 bassinets, 25 high chairs, 40 car seats, 15 pack & plays, and 15 cribs.

Together, we are helping to develop our future leaders!
One mother shares her story
“I lost my job when Covid-19 hit. I was grateful to find another job a couple of weeks later but had a gap in my rent payment and my pay date. Mothers Helping Mothers made the payment and also gave me the new clothes I needed for work and some clothes for my boys along with some essential items that I had no funds left to buy. Without their help it would have been a downfall struggle trying to play catch up. Thanks to them, I was able to stay on top of everything. They took some of the stress away from me and I am able to continue going on without the worry of being behind.  Within the week of them helping me, I was promoted at work. I honestly believe it's because I was able to focus on work and not stress about home.”
Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Jennifer B.
A big thank you to our community
We couldn't do what we do without the help from our community.  Thank you to the Community Foundation of of Sarasota County for a $10,000 grant that enabled MHM to purchase cribs, and to the United Way Suncoast for $20,000 which will go towards financial assistance for clients in need.

Our store transformation
Safety and efficiency were at the core of our remodeling plans. We would like to give a shout out to Partners for Green Places for their grant to help us go "green", enabling us to reduce our overhead costs while creating more space for our mothers to keep a safe distance when visiting the store. Click image below to view the transformation video. You can also reserve a spot for an in-person tour starting soon (see additional tour details below under "Tours").

More opportunities for volunteers
Additional days have been added to our volunteer schedule. Our volunteer hours are now Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and the first Saturday of each month, from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Thank you to our volunteer leaders, Ann B, Lauren E, Ebony M and Jeana B, who have stepped up to make these additional days possible. Please consider volunteering - many hands make light work! A wish from our working moms
We would like to add an additional shopping opportunity for our working moms, preferably on Thursdays from 5:30 to 8:30 PM. We are looking for a few committed volunteers who can make this happen. This would be a great leadership opportunity for high students to get involved for community service hours! If interested volunteering, please send an email to Cheri at
