Our doors may have been closed since March 13 due to COVID-19 but we never stopped supporting our mothers. Through a new online ordering system, MHM has been able to serve more than 650 clients through a drive-thru pickup process. All of this was made possible through the support of our fabulous volunteers who continued to collect donations, fill orders, and provide curbside pickup to these families.

Heard of Facebook Marketplace? More than 1,500 local families are now using our newest FB page "Mothers Marketplace" - thanks to the huge heart of our community coordinator and social media team leader, Jaye Clements. Families can now connect directly to request, give or trade items themselves for FREE!  Now, if you have furniture, appliances or anything else to give, you can post here and reach our community directly. Check out the love yourself by clicking here

What Moms are saying...

"Thank you for this group! I just dropped off an SUV load of lots of baby, toddler and momma items. This group is a blessing.

"Mothers Helping Mothers was such a huge help to me and my daughter. I'm so glad I got a chance to pay it forward."

During closure we removed some walls, increased shopping space and made many improvements. Thanks to grants and donors, we will be bigger and better than ever when we reopen on August 4 (pending Covid-19 related changes)
We plan to reopen our newly remodeled store with every system in place to protect our families and our volunteers including:

• Mandatory masks
• Appointments only
• No more walk-ins
• Limited shoppers
• Signs for distancing
• PPE shields installed
• Sanitizing stations

MHM is launching a new online scheduling system for clients to request appointments for shopping visits and financial aid applications. The link will be on our website shortly and on FB and Instagram pages. This will help reduce large crowds at opening and control shopping numbers on days we are open.
Rosemary McMullen single-handedly packed more than 600 orders during covid closure keeping us in operation.
Donations were taken home, sorted and brought back bagged and marked ready for curbside pickup. Thanks Megan Lott and many others who helped during this challenging time.
Special thanks to Jon DeVries for passing out every singe order curbside and Martha Bleakley and Jaye Clements for organizing the community support. for donations.
We've missed you and want you to come back starting in August. So to prepare, we've launched our new online volunteer manager, which means... we need your help updating the database. If you'd like to register yourself now in the new system, click here and select Future Volunteer Sign-Up otherwise we will be sending a separate email later this week asking everyone to opt in and register or opt out.

We can't wait to see our helpers back in the store. You will be provided PPE and spaced out for your safety and we can limit the number of people at one time with this new system. Remember we run on 100% volunteer power and the need in the community has never been greater as you can imagine.

We may be in a pandemic, but the generosity of our community was like never before. We raised over $30,000 during the 24hr April Giving Challenge- nearly double last year's donations. Through grants and the generosity of many donors such as United Way Suncoast and Partners for Green Places, we continue to make a difference even during this epidemic, but the need continues to grow. If you can help, please consider making a donation. $ FOR $ matches can be made thanks to the generosity of The Flanzer FoundationClick for info. Remember we have ZERO paid staff and thanks to the generous donors that helped to purchase our building last year which eliminated our greatest expense, every dollar donated, now goes back to the community!
