Let go of the Stress and Tap into your Life!

Justifying my Existence
 
I am so grateful for the way life unfolds in crazy ways - and always changing and leading me to new insights and understanding.

A few months ago, I noticed that I was not physically feeling my best - my knees were hurting, I could feel start of a urinary infection, a headache - and I realized during one of my morning “me” times (mediation, journaling, reading) that I had spent the week before agonizing about how to best hold a “virtual” meeting for a group of women I usually see in person (during theses Covid-19 days, “live” get togethers of more that 10 people were not recommended - even outdoors).  

Figuring out how to organize the virtual meeting was something I didn’t really want to do - but felt “I should”.  I should be doing it for them - some who needed the meeting, maybe needed to feel connected.

But if I was really honest with myself - was it really for them?  Or was it was for my ego - that wanted to be “seen” as doing something for others - justifying my existence, trying to add value to who I am?

Considering this, I asked myself if I really needed to justify my existante?  Who am I justifying it to?  Them or me?

I recognized the part of me that doesn’t see the value of who I am - the misconception, the misbelief, the fallacy of this illusion.  And  I attempted to meet this part of me with compassion, acceptance and love - like meeting a child who doesn’t understand.

And I let this go - and surrendered to the feeling of not trying to justify myself.  

There is really no need to justify my existence or to prove my value.  There really is no need to do things for this reason.

I decided to focus on doing what feels right in my heart ❤️ - of doing what brings me joy and fulfillment.  There IS joy and fulfillment in helping other and doing for others.  But it has nothing to do with justifying myself or my value!

Funny thing, the next morning I woke up feeling much better - my knees were not hurting, no headache, all was back to normal!  I also did end up going ahead with doing virtual meetings, weekly meditation, drops ins all online - but in a way that felt good to me.



I live, work, play and rest - 
And it has nothing to do with justifying my existence.
