Instructional Skills Workshop (ISW)

Dates: October 15 - 18, 2018
Facilitators: Michelle Johnson and Ken Harmel
Location: UFV Abbotsford Campus, Rm B121

The Instructional Skills Workshop (ISW) is offered to a group of four to six colleagues and is designed to enhance the teaching effectiveness of both new and experienced educators. During the 3 ½ day workshop, participants design and conduct three “mini-lessons” and receive verbal, written and video feedback from the other participants who have been learners in the mini-lessons.

Don’t miss this year’s Symposium 2018: Scholarly Teaching & Learning in Post-Secondary Education! The Symposium is an annual one-day event presented by the BCTLC and BCcampus that brings together speakers, presentations, discussions, and networking with colleagues who share an interest in scholarly teaching and learning in post-secondary education.

June 27, 2018 –  Symposium Registration – OPEN

The BCcampus Learning Access Program for Educators (LAP-E)
The BCcampus Learning Access Program for Educators (LAP-E) helps support instructors and teaching faculty from B.C. public post-secondary institutions to attend BCcampus professional development opportunities. Currently accepting applications to attend Symposium 2018: Scholarly Teaching & Learning in Post-Secondary Education. Application deadline: September 21, 2018.

BCcampus Online Book Club starts September!

BCcampus has a new book club. Join and let colleagues know about this new venture we are trying out in September.
We will be reading "How Learning Works: 7 Research-Based Principles for Smart Teaching" and details can be found here:
