ACTS OF THE AUGUSTANS

an account of the ministry and mission
of the Augusta District UMC

Welcome new UMM District President Todd Pierson
Greetings fellow United Methodist Men,

My name is Todd Pierson and I am the new president of the United Methodist Men for the Augusta District. I wanted to introduce myself and reach out to all the different UMM groups in the district and I would like the opportunity to meet with as many church groups as time allows. I am the spouse of Rev. Dr. Nancy Johnson, who serves at Lewis Memorial United Methodist Church in Evans, Georgia, and the son of Rev. Marion Pierson, former pastor and District Superintendent for the North Georgia Conference. I am a lifelong United Methodist with the love of the fellowship of my Christian brothers and sisters.

I would like to meet and/or speak with the leaders of the United Methodist Men of each church in the district and begin a process of joint fellowship there in. Please feel free to reach out to me via phone or email to discuss any opportunity for me to meet with yourself and your UMM members.

Your Brother In Christ,

Todd Pierson

Protocol of Reconciliation & Grace Through Separation

A diverse group of 16 United Methodist leaders from around the world has collaborated on a proposed path forward for The United Methodist Church that has the unanimous support of all the parties involved.  The agreement is the Protocol of Reconciliation and Grace Through Separation.

There are several places you are encouraged to turn for information and insight on this Protocol that can help as you articulate this work to your congregation and discuss with your colleagues.

Upcoming Courses

United Methodists will celebrate UMCOR Sunday on March 22.
UMCOR Sunday calls the church to share the goodness of life with those who hurt. UMCOR Sunday reaches children, families and communities who have experienced devastation in the wake of disaster.

Invite the Holy Spirit to inspire your congregation to give generously and to pray for those who serve — and are served. Through United Methodist sharing, vulnerable people affected by crisis or chronic need witness the love of
Jesus Christ.
