Dear <<First Name>>
Here's the latest information for music leaders in our parish
Thank you to everyone for your involvement in our Easter Triduum celebrations.  The full return to singing was warmly welcomed by parishioners, who enthusiastically joined in.

Try this new proposed additions to our Core Parish Repertoire

The revision of our music suggestions and quick pick music guide for Easter highlighted the need to substitute hymns by David Haas that we removed from our repertoire last year.  To help fill some of the void, we propose trialling these hymns for inclusion in our core repertoire.

River of glory

With us no longer using Water of life, this hymn can accompany the rite of sprinkling holy water, but can also have other uses.
  • Slides are now available in our catalogue
  • Music for singers is already included in our Music for Parish Worship folders
  • The music can be found in our existing book, Glory in the Cross, but pdf copies can also be obtained (contact Robert).
Listen to River of glory (Dan Schutte)

Word of God

An existing hymn in our catalogue, its many verses make it quite versatile, but it's underutilised.  Expect to see it appear in music suggestions more often.
  • Slides are now available in our catalogue
  • Music for singers will be included in our Music for Parish Worship folders soon
  • Full full set of verses can be found in our existing book, Go Before Us, select verses can be found in Catholic Worship Book II, and pdf copies can also be obtained (contact Robert).
Listen to Word of God (Bernadette Farrell)

Bread for the world

This hymn adds another communion-focused song to our repertoire, but also speaks to themes of justice in classic Bernadette Farrell style.
  • Slides are now available in our catalogue
  • Music for singers will be included in our Music for Parish Worship folders soon
  • The music can be found in our existing book, God Beyond All Names, but pdf copies can also be obtained (contact Robert).
Listen to Bread for the world (Bernadette Farrell)
Listen to a more contemporary-styled version of the same hymn

Keep in mind

"An oldie but a goodie", the late Lucien Deiss' hymn references the same scripture texts as Now We Remain.
  • Slides are now available in our catalogue
  • The music can be found in our existing book, Catholic Worship Book II
Listen to Keep in Mind (Lucien Deiss CSSp)

Take the word of God with you

Like We Are Called, this hymn reminds us that the Eucharist sends us out to be Christ to the world.
  • Slides are now available in our catalogue
  • The music can be found in our existing book, Catholic Worship Book II
Listen to Take the word of God with you (Christopher Walker & James Harrison)

Vine and Branches

This hymn draws on the same texts from the Gospel of John that were the basis for We have been told; thus, a very suitable hymn for the Easter season.
  • Slides are now available in our catalogue
  • Music for singers will soon be included in our Music for Parish Worship folders
  • The music can be obtained as a pdf digital download (contact Robert).
Listen to Vine and Branches (Trevor Thomson)
