IMPORTANT GRADUATE INFO!!!
Please remind your senior to check the graduation list posted in their English class to confirm the spelling of their names. If correction is needed have them notify Venetta in the main office by February 26th. There will be a $7.00 reprint fee for diploma inserts not reported with errors.
Graduation caps, gowns, and announcements were delivered on February 26th. If your senior missed the delivery date, please have them stop in the Activities Office to pick up their order.
Seniors will be receiving a Graduate Packet in their English classes in May. These packets will contain important information regarding graduation and other events during the last few weeks of our seniors' of high school career. The packet will contain the permanent copy of their immunization record. Since this is the original immunization record, it is important that this record is kept in a secure place.
The Masterlube wall mural/fundraiser for the Class of 2019 is scheduled for Saturday, May 11th. Student and parent volunteers are needed. If you are available to help with this fundraising event please contact Nicole Morrow at 406-598-2207.
The Falcon Finale is the all night "seniors only" party. The Finale committee will host a "parents only" open house on Saturday, May 25th from noon until 2:00pm to give parents an opportunity to preview the fun in store for their seniors.
Just a reminder ... if your senior hasn't paid for their admission to Falcon Finale, they can pay for it in the Activities Office. The cost is $45.00

Skyview is a recipient of the 2018 Exxon Mobil Educational Alliance Program awarded in part by Casey's Corner, Store #11. The award supports improvements in math and science. This $500 award will help support our STEM program for the 2019-2020 school year.

The Skyview Excel Club is part of Exchange Club, which is a national service organization. Our students will select different projects that will help our community and school. The members will decide how to they want to lead the club and how they want to serve their school and community. Excel stands for Exchanging Ideas, Xciting Opportunities, Community Involvement, Experience, Leadership.
The Billings Heights Exchange Excel Club Program of Student Service mission is based on Community Service, Americanism, Youth and Child Abuse Prevention. Jamie McIlvain and Bonnie Hofmann are the advisors for the group. The above picture was taken at their official meeting.
SUMMER 2019 Registration For Both Sessions Is
April 1, 2019- April 12, 2019
SESSION 1: Students must be born on or before November 20, 2004 and be enrolled in grades 9-12 for the 2019/2020 school year
When: May 20, 21, 23 & 28, and June 3 – 28, 2019
Where: Senior, Skyview, and West
Time: 8:00am or 10:00am at the high schools. On May 20, 21, 23, 28 and June 3,4, & 5 classes will all meet at 4:00 pm at the high schools. On May 20, 21, 23 & 28, 8th grade students will be bussed from Billings Public Schools middle schools to the high schools. Transportation after class and in June is the responsibility of the student/parent.
Fee: $265.00 must be paid by April 30, 2019
All classes will meet for 2 hours each day. On May 20, 21,23 & 28 classes will meet after school from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm and 8th graders at Ben Steele, Castle Rock, Lewis & Clark, Medicine Crow, Riverside and Will James will be bussed from their middle school to the high school for class. Students who attend schools outside of Billings Public Schools are responsible for their own transportation to the high schools for the May classes. Due to teacher training, classes on June 3rd, 4th & 5th will also be held from 4:00 – 6:00pm. From June 6 – June 28, class will meet at 8:00am or 10:00am, whichever time you chose at registration.
SESSION 2: Students must be born on or before January 8, 2005 and be enrolled in grades 9-12 for the 2019/2020 school year.
When: July 8 – August 8, 2019
Where: Senior, Skyview and West
Time: 10:00am – 12:00pm Monday - Friday
Fee: $265.00 must be paid by April 30, 2019
For both sessions there are 6 drive times outside of class time during the course. These are scheduled by the instructor. Students are allowed up to 3 absences but those absences must be made up at a time scheduled by the instructor. Anyone missing more than 3 days or failing to attend the make-up days will automatically fail the course. NO EXCEPTIONS!

Congratulations to Jacob Logan and Emma Ulrichs on their selection to the American Choral Directors Association’s National Honor Choir! They will be traveling to Kansas City on February 27 to join with other students from around the country to rehearse and perform a concert at the ACDA national conference. Great job to these Skyview students! Congratulations also goes to Emma Ulrichs for being selected as an outstanding student by Arts Without Boundaries! She received recognition and a scholarship for her contribution to Skyview’s arts community. Great job!

Here you can find a list of available scholarships, college information, career assistance, suggested timelines, information on ACT, SAT, NCAA and so much more. Registration For 2019-2020: Students are registered for courses! They have from now until Aug. 23 to change courses.
JUNIORS:
Junior Parent Night: On March 12, 2019 from 7-8 pm in the Skyview Theater, we will meet with parents/students of juniors to prepare for senior year. Discussion will focus on postsecondary options, work based-learning opportunities, college visits, applying to colleges, applying for scholarships, FAFSA and resources that are available for you.
College Applications & FAFSA: Just a reminder you can still request help to apply to colleges. Make an appointment to see your counselor.
Tests - ACT/SAT- Requests For Scores: If you need your ACT score your transcript will have your ACT scores as long as you entered in Skyview's ACT code: 270079, when you registered. Some schools/NCAA/NAIA require official test scores. To receive these you must log into the testing site directly, fill out the request and pay the fee.
MUS Scholarship: To apply for the Montana University System Honor Scholarships (MUS) (tuition waived for 4 years to a Montana State University), go online to http://mus.edu. We have direct links to this MUS site and the ACT or SAT on the student’s Career Cruising site. Applications are due March 15, 2019.
Scholarships: Please check the website, announcements, and Career Cruising for a wide variety of scholarships. In addition to this, check with the school you plan to attend, parents' work, outside organizations you may be involved in your church.
If you wish to be recognized for a scholarship that you are accepting, please bring your counselor documentation that you have received the scholarship and we will recognize you at the Senior Night Awards Ceremony, May 13 from 7-8:30 pm in the theater.

Foreign Language Club The Foreign Language Club meets every other Tuesday after school in room 120.
We explore various cultures, eat food, make friends, and have fun.
We have a board in the lower hallway where we post positive messages.
The swim team is looking for ankle weights of any size and ladies swim suits. We will used these items so all the swimmers can practice with extra resistance. Send the equipment to Skyview's main office, attention Mike Walz. In preparation for next swim season, donations will be taken anytime throughout the year.

Academic Award ceremony honoring seniors with six semesters of a GPA of 3.5 and above.
Skyview Falcon Fusion Dance Team's Competition Group, Fusion Fatale, is competing at NDA Nationals in Orlando, FL in the small varsity jazz and team performance categories February 22 and 23.
The team includes Kennedi Ferdig, Halle Harrison, Stayce Mockel, Ashley Feller, and Anna Waldorf.
