Attention Parent/Guardians of Students With Asthma:

Montana State Law (20-5-420) allows capable students to carry and self-administer their Asthma medication during school hours, before, after, and during any school activity, and anytime the student is on school property. In accordance with the law, appropriate paperwork is required for any student who plans to carry and self-administer their Asthma medication. This includes High School students (State Law supersedes our district policy which does not require paperwork in order for High School students to possess their prescription medication). If your child plans to carry their Asthma medication at school, please obtain the necessary paperwork from the school office. Appropriate paperwork is also necessary for students who plan to store their Asthma medication at the school office or who are in need of assistance from the Nurse to administer their inhaler. Please notify the School Nurse of your child’s Asthma management plan for school and you will be provided with the appropriate paperwork as needed. Thank you!

ACT/SAT Prep Class:
Next session begins January 6

Our ACT/SAT Prep Program is designed to help you, the student, prepare for the ACT or SAT college entrance exams. The course will provide you with the chance to review skills essential to succeeding on the exam – in both the math and verbal areas. This course will not give you answers, but it will provide you strategies for taking the test. Sample tests and questions will supplement the review material to provide you with a complete test prep program.
The cost is $85. Each session during the 2019-2020 year will be 20 class periods. Class will meet from 7:05 am - 7:45 am. All sessions are scheduled to end at approximately the same time as an SAT or ACT test date. Please take this into account when registering. Students should see their counselors for questions. Test registrations/dates are online. Brochure found here: https://bit.ly/2kcYJtI. Please contact Ms. Gruizenga or Mr. Bedford for more information.

The Jiffy Lube “What Drives You?”
Scholarship Program Awards Scholarship to Skyview Teen Driver

The “What Drives You?” scholarship program funded by Billings Jiffy Lube owners awarded $3,000 in scholarships to two Billings high school students for the 2018-2019 school year.
Skyview's Laura Keenan was awarded $1,000 as a runner-up in the “What Drives You?” scholarship pr
ogram. This program is open to all high school students in Billings, MT.
Students are asked to submit a 500-word essay detailing what drives them now, as an opportunity to express their inner drive and ambitions. Finalists are selected based on their essay submission. Finalists are then required to submit a short 1-2 minute video that expands on the essay they submitted and then the overall winner is selected.
Laura’s drive is to be a teacher and expand the minds of upcoming generations and bring a love of learning to the classroom.
The scholarships are open to all students currently enrolled in high school regardless of test scores or grades. Scholarship money will go directly towards secondary education, in the form of college or other qualified technical or professional program chosen by each winning student.
Jiffy Lube will also donate $500 to the Billings High School with the most student applicants.

Theatre Sponsorship
Sponsoring a seat in Skyview's Theatre is a great way to show your support for all programs using the theatre, and provides a unique recognition for you, a loved one, or your organization.
Your  donation will be used to mainly improve the facility. Fixing seats, painting the stage floor, and purchasing replacement parts for aging equipment can get expensive, but your donation will help us to mitigate those costs.
To make your donation, please download a Skyview Theater Sponsorship form.
