Activity Tickets
Activity tickets sales have begun. The cost again this year will be $30.00. It is a requirement that all participants in any sport or forensics purchase an activity ticket. These tickets will gain admittance to all school events at all three high schools except dances and divisional or state tournaments. It is a real bargain at this price as you save many dollars over the course of the school year. Family and individual adult passes are also available. The cost is $150.00 for the family and $75.00 for an individual. Passes may be purchased from 7:00 - 11:30 and 12:45 - 3:30 in the activities office.
If you are planning to participate in a fall sport, please pick up the necessary paperwork in the Activities office or the main office, or download the forms from the Skyview website. This needs to be filled out and turned in no later than August 12th. All forms need to be signed and turned in to the Activities office prior to the start of the season and an activity ticket must be purchased. The $50.00 participation fee for all fall sports must be paid at the time the forms are turned in and will be refunded if the student is cut. As soon as the forms are turned in and fees paid, the athlete will get a clearance slip to give to the coach. In order to practice or try out all paperwork must submitted to the Activities Office. Golf begins August 15th all other fall sports (cross country, volleyball, golf, and football) begin practice on August 16th.
Sports Physicals
The MHSA requires all students in grades 6 - 12 who participate in school sports to have a physical every year. The physical must be performed after May 1st for the following school year. This physical form should be printed, filled out and taken to the appointment.
Parents need to be informed that if there is family history of premature sudden death under age 40, a personal history of fainting, passing out, chest discomfort/shortness of breath with exercise and/or any complex medical condition with ongoing treatment, we will not be able to clear them with this sports physical. We suggest that these students follow-up with their family physician or pediatrician.

The 1995 Legislature passed, and former Governor Racicot signed into law a piece of legislation, HB 457, related to youth access to tobacco products. HB 457 makes it illegal for anyone under the age of 18 to possess or use tobacco products. The new law went into effect on October 1, 1995.
Penalties for violation are set by law and are assessed by the City Court system. Penalties are:
First Offense: $35 fine
Second Offense: $75 - $100 fine
Third and Subsequent Offenses: $100 - $250 fine
Please note that the State Law is not limited to school property only, however, the Billings Public Schools will be enforcing this law on all school properties.
