The textbook company Bedford, Freeman, & Worth just released a new English Language Arts textbook titled American Literature & Rhetoric that features an essay by Skyview graduate Joseph Barrett (Class of 2020). Joseph's essay is a rhetorical analysis of an excerpt from Shirley Chisholm's 1969 speech "People and Peace, Not Profits and War" which she delivered to the U.S. House of Representatives.

Congratulations to our Forensics team AND coaches for their showing at the State meet.  Due to Covid restrictions, the entire season was a brand new platform (all virtual) which placed  extra work on our coaches: Dan Johnson, Libby Hoefle, Chae Clearwood and Kathy Johnson. Although unusual, they made it happen beautifully nonetheless.

Music Notes

Our Skyview music department had several students audition for the National Association of Music Educators All Northwest Honor groups for this school year. Each of these students spent time on their own and with their private coaches to prepare an audition submission. Because of COVID, this year's groups are honorary selections only. Normally, they would travel to rehearse and perform with the best music students of the northwest for a gala concert.
  • Mackenzie Ecker - Choir
  • Sydney Luderitz - Band
