The textbook company Bedford, Freeman, & Worth just released a new English Language Arts textbook titled American Literature & Rhetoric that features an essay by Skyview graduate Joseph Barrett (Class of 2020). Joseph's essay is a rhetorical analysis of an excerpt from Shirley Chisholm's 1969 speech "People and Peace, Not Profits and War" which she delivered to the U.S. House of Representatives.
Please go to the Counseling Center website, on Skyview’s site under departments. You will find ACT/SAT test dates, important dates, and MUCH more information.

TESTS - ACT/SAT- REQUESTS For scores:

Remember, to qualify for the Montana University System Honor Scholarships (MUS) (tuition waived for 4 years to a Montana State University!), you must take a college entrance exam by December, at the latest. You must also have applied and been accepted to a Montana University. To gain information about the MUS, go online to http://mus.edu. We have direct links to this MUS site and the ACT or SAT on the student’s Career Cruising site. Applications can not be completed until after 1st semester, but are due mid March 2021!
Please be checking the website, announcements, and Xello for a wide variety of scholarships. In addition to this, check with the school you plan to attend, parents work, outside organizations you may be involved in, as they may offer scholarships.
Congratulations to our Forensics team AND coaches for their showing at the State meet. Due to Covid restrictions, the entire season was a brand new platform (all virtual) which placed extra work on our coaches: Dan Johnson, Libby Hoefle, Chae Clearwood and Kathy Johnson. Although unusual, they made it happen beautifully nonetheless.

Haley Droogsma won several design contests!

Our Skyview music department had several students audition for the National Association of Music Educators All Northwest Honor groups for this school year. Each of these students spent time on their own and with their private coaches to prepare an audition submission. Because of COVID, this year's groups are honorary selections only. Normally, they would travel to rehearse and perform with the best music students of the northwest for a gala concert.
Mackenzie Ecker - Choir
Sydney Luderitz - Band
Jack Staton - Choir
Libby Vickery - Choir
Please congratulate these students on their fantastic accomplishment!
