Activity Tickets
Activity tickets sales begin August 4th. The cost again this year will be $30.00. It is a requirement that all participants in any sport or forensics purchase an activity ticket. These tickets will gain admittance to all school events at all three high schools except dances and divisional or state tournaments. It is a real bargain at this price as you save many dollars over the course of the school year. Passes may be purchased from 7:00 - 11:30 and 12:45 - 3:30 in the activities office.
If you are planning to participate in a fall sport, please pick up the necessary paperwork in the Activities office or the main office, or download the forms from the Skyview website. This needs to be filled out and turned in no later than August 13th. All forms need to be signed and turned in to the Activities office prior to the start of the season and an activity ticket must be purchased. The $50.00 participation fee for all fall sports must be paid at the time the forms are turned in and will be refunded if the student is cut. As soon as the forms are turned in and fees paid, the athlete will get a clearance slip to give to the coach. In order to practice or try out all paperwork must submitted to the Activities Office. Golf begins August 12th all other fall sports (cross country, volleyball, golf, and football) begin practice on August 13th.
Sports Physicals
The MHSA requires all students in grades 6 - 12 who participate in school sports to have a physical every year. The physical must be performed after May 1st for the following school year. This physical form should be printed, filled out and taken to the appointment.
Parents need to be informed that if there is family history of premature sudden death under age 40, a personal history of fainting, passing out, chest discomfort/shortness of breath with exercise and/or any complex medical condition with ongoing treatment, we will not be able to clear them with this sports physical. We suggest that these students follow-up with their family physician or pediatrician.

State Tobacco Law In Effect
Skyview High School, along with all Billings Public Schools, is a "Smoke-Free" school. As such, the use of or possession of tobacco products by students on school property is prohibited. A violation of the tobacco policy will be more than just a school violation.
The 1995 Legislature passed, and former Governor Racicot signed into law a piece of legislation, HB 457, related to youth access to tobacco products. HB 457 makes it illegal for anyone under the age of 18 to possess or use tobacco products. The new law went into effect on October 1, 1995.
Penalties for violation are set by law and are assessed by the City Court system. Penalties are:
First Offense: $35 fine
Second Offense: $75 - $100 fine
Third and Subsequent Offenses: $100 - $250 fine
Please note that the State Law is not limited to school property only, however, the Billings Public Schools will be enforcing this law on all school properties.
Weapons Free School
Skyview High School, along with all Billings Public Schools, has joined with the National Association of Secondary School Principals in declaring that we are a "Weapons Free School". No weapons of any type will be allowed on campus without written permission from the school authorities.

Falcon Finale!
Falcon Finale is a wonderful send-off for our seniors that has a 30+ year history at Skyview. It is an all night graduation party that takes place right after graduation. There are games, food, entertainment, and prizes galore!
Falcon Finale is planned, organized, and executed by PARENTS, and there are monthly meetings starting in October.
There are already some committee chairs in place for the class of 2022, so we are off to a great start!
Falcon Finale welcomes parents who are able to help at any level: committee chair, participate in fundraisers throughout the year, help at the MasterLube Grad Day Fundraiser in May, and/or help at the party, of course.
To keep up on news about Falcon Finale (and when our first meeting will be), join our group on Facebook: 2022 Falcon Finale. If you don't use Facebook, email me at claireeyenish@gmail.com. I’ll be happy to keep you updated.
I can’t believe our kids are already seniors. It goes so fast!
Claire Yenish, FF 2022 Committee Chair
