A big-hearted small church nestled in the mountains of Ivy, Virginia

The Weather Was Frightful!

     Winter storm Diego dumped 8 to 12 inches of snow on the area on Sunday.  The decision was made to cancel the service due to the safety issue of those who travel some distance to the church. 
It was a good day to stay at home!

           Service Information

  The Rev. John "Tige" Newell will lead Holy Eucharist on December 16th and 23rd.  Please welcome him!

      Rev. Newell has agreed to be on call if a priest is needed throughout the rest of the month.  If a priest is needed, please contact Tracy Strange.  Phone:  (434) 960-0132,


    On December 30th we will have our Lessons and Carols service.  Come ready to sing Christmas carols!
      As we will not have a priest available, it is recommended that you visit a local sister church to worship on Christmas Eve and/or Christmas Day as you desire.      
   The Luncheon will be December 16 after the service.  Each family is asked to bring a heavy hors d'oeurve to provide for 25 - 30 people.  Be festive, ready to enjoy each other's company, and ready to have a good time!
     Suggested ideas for some foods to bring:  small sandwiches, mini pigs-in-blankets, cheese tray, fruit tray/salad, sausage balls, veggie casserole or tray, small meat wraps, desserts and similar foods.  Be imaginative, surprise us!
