Your Vote and 2020 March Primary

All of us must take on the responsibility of educating the voters/public and convince them that their votes are important both in the March 3 and November 3 primaries. I ask all of you to let your family, friends, neighbors and your community know that if they are not a registered Republican, they will not be able to vote for President Trump and Vice President Mike Pence in the primary.

Those who have other party affiliations as Libertarians, American Independent, Green or No Party Preference/Decline to State, will be able to vote for Congressional, State and local candidates plus initiatives but not the President or Vice President. They will be able to vote on the Democrat ballot.

This has nothing to do with the Newsom administration trying to keep Presidential candidates off the California ballot if they do not release their tax returns. The Republican State Party won that case, not that Newsom and the Attorney General might still try to appeal that decision, but at this time the odds of them accomplishing that appear to be slim to none.

It is the Democrat and Republican state parties who decide if they want the primary to be open or closed. The Democrat's primary is open, the Republican's is closed. As far as the reasons by California GOP: do not want Democrats voting on their ballot. They are also hopeful that due to our President's popularity by many no-party preference voters, they will re-register as a Republican. I am happy to report that many Democrats have already re-registered as Republicans.

I am sure that the recall of Governor Newsom has been a major factor in Democrats changing their party affiliation. And, to all of you who are circulating recall petitions, I also ask that you register voters at the same time and reach out and coordinate with your county Republican Central Committees.

The bottom line is, no one can sit at home this election year. We are at a crossroads in our state and nation. Do you make a left turn for Socialism or a right turn to strengthen our voices and build our base that supports our Constitution and our Nation of Laws? Use your voice on street corners, in letters to the editor and social media. This is ours to win, to turn California red!
