Dear Friends and Families,
The work will continue on the roof for the next couple weeks.  We appreciate your patience.  We had our first turn-in day for the Walkathon yesterday, and the students look great in their shirts for this year!  Our fourth grade class had the highest turn in, and will be getting doughnuts and juice one day next week.  Next Tuesday, September 25th, is our second turn-in day.  The top class will earn extra recess.  We hope you can join us on the day of the walk on October 5th.  All volunteers do need to be VIRTUS-trained.
I am excited to share that Reach for the Stars will continue next year for our female students.  This is a program run by students from Mount Notre Dame High School where they mentor our students each week through education, crafts, and games.  It will start again on Thursday, October 4th.  More details to follow next week.  Interims will also come out on October 4th.
Lastly,  we are off school on Friday, September 28th, for a faculty in-service.
     Cheerfully in Christ,
     Mrs. Aideen Briggs

A police car came through our parking lot at dismissal today to talk to someone at OLSH.  It had nothing to do with the school in case you were worried.
First grade students excited about skittles and math!  Wise first grade teacher, Mrs. Lantz, knows skittles will enhance the lesson.
  Milk Jugs Needed!
Please bring in empty milk jugs to Mrs. Graler's room with your student.  Jugs need to be clean and dry; labels need to be removed as well.  Please do not send tops.  Thank you!

Teachers donning the new Walkathon styles for 2018-2019!
This morning, we held a prayer service on our theme of "Be Kind" for the whole school in the cafeteria.  Thank you to Mrs. O'Shea, Mrs. Maciulewicz, and Mrs. Gorsuch for organizing this event.
