The Second Skateboard Donation
When creating a system to donate skateboards to local kids, 4Missoula set up a couple rules that we think will make the process more effective, and one of these rules was that (aside from a regular design-proofing process where versions of the skateboard go back and forth with the Sponsor) before any publication of the skateboard is disseminated the recipient of the board is the first person to see it...so as not to dilute the effect. So, now that Christmas presents have been delivered it's time to share these boards with the world.
The "Second Skateboard Donation" was made possible by my long-time friend, Mike Eiseman and his fantastic burrito shop, El Diablo. Mike and I go way back, but it's been a few years since we caught up; nevertheless, when I reached out to see if Mike would be interested in donating he was immediately on-board. In chatting with Mike it's evident that he understands the importance of helping the community and he mentioned that while these gifts seem small to us they are a really big deal to the kids. My sentiments exactly.
It's a wonderful thing to be able to reconnect with old friends and how fitting that during the Holidays these connections are here to help bring good cheer and awesome presents to the kids in our community. Thank you so much, Mike, and I hope you (and everyone) is able to stay stoked this holiday season and throughout the New Year.
