May 16 -- The Holy Eucharist with The Rev. Canon Carrie Schofield-Broadbent
All services will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Sundays. We will be taking reservations by phone and online. Please call 648-4400 to make your reservation. If you leave a message, Kathy will return your call to confirm your reservation. Or you can reserve online at: https://rsvp.church/r/7V2DQ0u1 or email your request to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please be sure to note the number of family members attending in your reservation. Your patience and feedback are paramount to the success of our in-person gatherings.
Please be mindful of the following:
Everyone must wear a mask of that completely covers your nose and mouth.
If you have recently been unwell or have developed COVID-19 symptoms (including a high temperature, cough and/or a loss or change in your sense of smell or taste) you may not attend services. In the event you develop any symptoms during or after the service or if you test positive for coronavirus you must notify the church office immediately. Those who are at higher risk & medically vulnerable should not attend in person without first consulting with their doctor.
We need to maintain a 6 foot physical distance between different households for our gathered service. The sanctuary and adjacent areas will be set up with a clearly identifiable one-way system; everyone will enter through the glass doors and exit through the red doors. All doors will be held open, preventing the need to touch them and ensuring rooms are well ventilated. Windows will be open in the sanctuary for the same reason, so please dress appropriately.
Upon arrival, everyone will be provided hand-sanitizer, have their temperature taken and complete a health assessment before being seated in the sanctuary. Please arrive early so we can accomplish these tasks and start the service on time.
To attend church services, you must book your seat in advance as stated above. This system enables us to both manage numbers and maintain a register for the purpose of track and trace. We will begin taking reservations on Thursday for the following Sunday and you will need to book week by week. Please only book if you intend to come and contact us immediately if your plans change or you feel unwell and need to cancel. We will work to provide an opportunity for everyone who wants to attend in person.
We are not currently allowed to have congregational singing at our in-person service but music will be part of our worship. Our services will continue to be recorded and/or streamed for those who cannot attend to meet the challenge of ensuring that we are effectively serving those engaging online as well as those gathered in the building.
The Eucharist (when offered) will be bread only. There will be no kneeling at the rail--instead a single line will form at the center aisle--while maintaining 6 foot distance as marked on the floor. Please keep your mask on, receive the Host, walk back to your pew, then remove your mask briefly to consume the Host.
There will be no coffee hour or Sunday School and the undercroft will remain closed. The collection plate will not be passed but will be placed at the back of the sanctuary to be available upon your departure.
You are encouraged to leave the building promptly to minimize the length of time spent indoors. Ushers will assist in guiding parishioners into and out of pews to maintain social distancing.
Per Diocesan guidelines, individuals who have received the COVID-19 vaccine must still follow all masking, hygiene, and physical distancing protocols when attending St. Mark's sponsored in-person gatherings.
For our collective health and safety, rest assured that we have, and continue to take, every reasonable precaution so our building and gatherings will comply with Diocesan COVID-19 guidelines. Thank you all so much for your patience and prayers as we move forward in these uncertain times.
