Daily Dose

Haha!  Coining another word:

Landscapism, both noun and verb, signifying both an act and a state of being; a mashup of escapism and landscape

So, I'm not giving you much other than the two landscapish (see? I do it all the time) paintings, below.  Because you're not giving ME much!  Only 2, two, readers have responded with title suggestions from the last Dose.  I happen to know there are more than two of you reading this.  I promised I would re-post those paintings with the title ideas/suggestions/responses, but I can't do it with ONLY TWO.  I need more.

Dinner last night: Lasagna.  I chose the vegetarian option which was chock-full of mushrooms & zucchini.I don't really see the point of meat in lasagna-- it's all about the pasta, cheese, vegetables, sauce and cheese.  Meat just adds unnecessary and unwelcome texture.  Who's with me?

Warmest regards,

Slightly Sassy Landscapist

30x30 inches, oil on linen.  This is even brighter in person, which is not what I was initially going for, but I got it to this stage and simply liked it.  I think it hits a sweet spot between "landscape" and "abstract."  Your thoughts?
30x30 inches, oil on linen.  I might connect the dark part in the middle at the top-- it's looking a little like micky mouse ears to me. Haha!  Once I think something like that, I can't get it out of my head, so I have to fix it, now...

A chronicle of my residency at Vermont Studio Center in Johnsons, VT.  Will include art, ramblings and coffee critiques.

I'm doing a bit of free-writing, thinking about this body of work.  If I can polish it enough for it to sensible, I'll share it with you.
