Bone Caves Cross Country

Since my last trip to Scotland, there is one story that I have been rabid to tell: my cross-country excursion from the Bone Caves to the Inchnadamph Lodge in Assynt. Click here for the whole story.

LETS GET THIS PARTY STARTED!

Take a (long) walk this spring - Marchons ce printemps...

Ready to start planning your spring or fall trip? Wanting to join a group trip? Let's talk about it!! Come on down to a tea (coffee) party at my place to chat. Sign up now, or "like" the Self Propelled Facebook page for the event notification.

Fife Coastal Path
Read the report on my 8 day walk along the coast of Fife here.  Discover the amazing sandy and rock strewn beaches of Fife, and her many coastal villages.
ALL AND SUNDRY
Hello hello, Frances speaking - Self Propelled Travel is my (ad)venture; looking to help plan and/or escort you on some amazing long distance walks in Scotland. Something closer to home? Take a look at some of my reports on Montreal places, or contact me to book a bespoke tour of my favorite parts of this city. Walking, driving, on a bike, snacks and/in natural surroundings, 'these are just some of my favorite things' (thanks Mary Pppns)

An early winter here in MTL means glorious walking in snow covered woods - not 5 minutes from my very urban home. Also plenty of use for my city crampons. Still not enough snow for cross country skiing, but I can't wait! Another new activity has been a mini-walking group, initiated by my hockey friend Megan. - we've never been more than three but it is always a great time.

I will be giving another talk this winter at the Cummings Centre, on the MontréaI Perimeter Walk which I finally completed in June. I will be sharing more stories of these and other walks, through this coming year on my website, so stay tuned to my facebook page or this newsletter for details!!.
A little late for Hannukah, but there are some fantastic hikey trippy Christmas gift suggestions here. This is the work of an amazing walking women that I know, A Woman Afoot. Follow this link to check out the rest of her excellent blog.
