The month of October has been flying by. I always appreciate the end of the month and the two big events on the calendar. The first being parent teacher conference and the second being international night. Both provide us the opportunity to see and speak with families which is an essential part of Saint Francis Xavier School.
Parent teacher conference are so important to us and for your children. While we take great pride in the work we do, we know we are not able to do it alone. You play a huge role in the success of your students. These meetings allow us to keep you up to date and gain valuable insight into your children. They also allow us to develop appropriate goals moving forward that will lead to the highest levels of success. Please know that if you were not able to make it to a conference today that my staff always welcomes the chance to speak with you at any time. All you need to do is give us a call or send an email and we will work to schedule a time.
International night is much the same. We are so fortunate that our students are willing to work so hard on a project and to work to transform the school into a much different space. International night is so impressive for me as it is the culmination of all of the work the students have done. Seeing families in the school and sharing in the experience is what makes Saint Francis so special. There are so many wonderful things to see and it is so exciting to see student light up with joy when they are able to share their work with you.
Please know how appreciative we are of your commitment to Saint Francis Xavier School and how much we enjoy your presence and involvement in the daily lives of your students.
Ukulele lessons for grades 4th thru 8th grade will officially start on November 7th. If you have not signed up, there is still time. Order your ukulele now! Please contact me if you are interested. Npelchat@sfxvt.org
Help us fill the Craft Fair Christmas Stocking!
Each year, the Christmas stocking, filled with toys, is one of the biggest ticket sellers at our Craft Fair raffle. But we need your help to be able to fill it. Please consider bringing a few dollars to International Night on Thursday, October 27th and you can put them in the stocking so we can use them to purchase toys for this raffle prize. Please contact Crystal Rodimon at email@example.com with any questions.
Meadow Farms - We only need to sell 30 more items to receive 50% of our total sales!
We have extended the selling deadline to October 31st. If we can sell 30 more items, then we can receive 50% of our total sales instead of 45%. This is a great opportunity to rase a little extra money. Flyers/order forms will be going home with your students next week. In the meantime, you can ask friend and family members to place orders online at www.meadowfarms.com and click the circle: Start Shopping. Then, click the blue Online Shopping tab. Enter code: 0431954 (where it says enter student ID) and start shopping.
Fudge for Funds Fundraiser
Order forms went home with your students on Thursday. We are selling locally made fudge from Snowflake Chocolates. This fundraiser will run from 10/20 through 11/1 and delivery of fudge will be on Thursday, November 17th - just in time for Thanksgiving! Don't forget...fudge can be frozen too if you want to save it for a Christmas gift. This fundraiser helps support the teacher and staff bonuses so your participation is key! We ask each student to sell only 6 boxes. If you have any questions, please email Stacey Zierak at Zieraks@comcast.net.
