TRADIES NATIONAL HEALTH MONTH
August is Tradies National Health Month. Research shows that 3 out of 5 serious workplace injuries involve tradies – and yet many tradies delay getting help. Unfortunately, a longer wait before getting treatment often leads to a longer period of rehabilitation and worse outcomes. If another tool in your toolkit was broken you wouldn’t hesitate to fix it, why wait with your health?
Your hands are the most valuable tool you’ve got, but unlike the rest of your toolkit, you’ve only got one set
At Melbourne Hand Rehab, we help tradies after injuries to their fingers, thumbs, hands, wrists, elbows and shoulders. Our priorities are to:
- Reduce your pain
- Increase your movement
- Increase your strength
- Return to work and your hobbies safely
- Help you avoid re-injuring yourself
To promote Tradies National Health Month we will be running a series of videos on the common injuries we see and what we do to help on our Facebook
page and posting a blog
up on our website. If you or someone you know has an arm, wrist or hand injury, come check it out.
