Minute With the CEO

Hello everyone! I trust you are all keeping safe. If you are thinking about getting involved in some volunteer work, there's never been a better time. At Volunteering Sunshine Coast, we have a number of positions available in the 'volunteer opportunities' section to anyone who is interested in joining our organisation. Also, Urban Angels is in desperate need of helping hands to put together meals to be delivered to vulnerable members of our community.

We'd also like to make a special mention to the wonderful people at Metronet IT and Suncoast IT for the website support they've provided us for many years. If you need assistance with your computer systems or want a website developed, they can help.

Until next month,

Cheryl

Senior Relationship Services

No matter our age, we should always be able to trust our family and close friends to have our best interests at heart. Unfortunately, not everyone is lucky enough to experience this.

Physical, psychological or emotional, sexual and financial abuse of older persons in our communities can be hard to spot, and it can be difficult to know what to do if you suspect someone is in trouble.

Relationships Australia Queensland offers support to older people in Queensland through a range of services aimed at providing education, advice, and referrals. In some instances, they can also provide case management for vulnerable elderly people.

RAQ provide a range of services to protect elderly people:
