Economic Development Stakeholders collaborate on regional COVID-19 website
Regional economic development stakeholders in southeastern New Brunswick have come together to create an online COVID-19 information hub for businesses in the region.
3+ Corporation, Opportunities NB, the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency, Working NB and municipal partners from Dieppe, Moncton and Riverview have collaborated on an online platform created by the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Moncton to provide business owner/operators a one stop-shop of the most up-to-date and comprehensive information on the pandemic and the business response.
“Although each of our organizations will maintain their own website links to COVID-19 information specific to their mandates, the enhanced page on the Greater Moncton Chamber’s website is meant to serve as a regional hub and gateway to all programs and services,” explained John Wishart, CEO, The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Moncton.
The site:
www.ccgm.ca/covid-19/ contains information on federal and provincial financial assistance programs for business owners and their employees, updates from all partners as well as important links, updates and information from the Greater Shediac Chamber of Commerce, CBDC Westmorland, the Greater Moncton Roméo LeBlanc International Airport, the Greater Moncton Local Immigration Partnership (GMLIP) and many other partners.
Business owners who want to know what programs are available to help them through the pandemic will find links to information and applications at both the federal and provincial levels. Webinars for business owners produced by ONB, the Chamber and 3+ will also be featured. The site also includes business continuity plan templates, checklists and other tools to assist business.
“At a time like this, when information is changing daily, it becomes a challenge for businesses to know where to look to access to the information they need. This site provides our region’s businesses with one place to go online and most importantly, frequently updated as new information becomes available,” said Susy Campos, CEO, 3+ Corporation.
The COVID-19 page will be updated each day as new information becomes available and it will remain active as long as the pandemic continues to affect business and communities.
