A message from Neil McArthur to online gambling operators – latest Covid-19 lockdown measures
As you will know, new national measures have come into force in England in response to rising rates of Coronavirus throughout the country. It is vital that all operators play their part in keeping their customers safe and we will be continuing to conduct our compliance assessments during this month-long lockdown.
Gambling Commission publishes first National Strategic Assessment alongside its latest annual Compliance and Enforcement Report
We have published our first ever National Strategic Assessment. It uses the latest available evidence, from a wide range of sources and case studies, to assess the issues and the risks gambling presents to consumers and the public. We have also published our annual Compliance and Enforcement Report.
Consultation: Remote customer interaction - Consultation and Call for Evidence
We are consulting on stronger requirements that will help ensure remote gambling operators do more to identify consumers who may be harmed by gambling and to interact and take action sufficiently early and effectively to prevent harm.
Changes to regulatory returns for non-remote and gambling software licences
We have made minor changes to the regulatory returns module on the eServices Hub. For non-remote licensees (except casinos) we have removed the question requiring operators to tell us the addresses of individual gambling premises. We have also removed the requirement for gambling software licence holders to report software titles via regulatory returns. Instead, software titles are to be reported solely via the games register module.
