Manal's Xmas Party!

Friday 25th November the Manal Garcia Fitness crew celebrated another year of sweating together with lots of laughter at the Hotel Palisade

It was great to get dressed up, relax and have a few drinks with our fit friends.   A big thank you to Alex who helped arrange the venue and extra special service.  We love any excuse to celebrate. 

Looking forward to the next social gathering in 2017!
 

Benefits of Outdoor Training

With this amazing weather working out under the sky feels great but also has physical and psychological advantages.
 
Mental Stimulation
Training outdoors frees the mind of 4 walls, giving your mind the stimulation that indoor training just doesn't provide.
 
Sunshine!!
How great is it to feel warmth on the skin?  A healthy dose of Vitamin D elevates the mood and releases all those feel-good endorphins
 
Variation
Training outdoors provides opportunity for variety in your workout, such as hills, benches, surface area (sand, grass, pavement)  Keeping the body guessing and constantly adapting to these variations builds strength and assists in avoiding injuries due to repetition.
 
Psychological Benefits
Outdoor activity is great for the mind which can help combat anxiety and stress.  There's nothing like exercising amongst trees and nature to give you a healthy mood boost!
 
So with all this in mind take some precautions when exercising outdoors.  Apply sunscreen regularly, hydrate often and wear functional clothing that will work with you to cool the body, not heat it up! Enjoy!! xx
