What a month we've had at Manal Garcia Fitness!  It's getting warm -
time to get summer ready. Read on for some useful tips.

We've also welcomed some new male and female clients, mixing up the group dynamics with the hubbies on board. And we welcome back  two of our mums, Amanda and Isabel,  both after having their 2nd babies. Back into training postpartum, with 2 gorgeous new bubs.

Tips to get Summer Ready 
  1. Goals - Set a goal so that you have have something to aim for such as that 5km race in January, fitting into that party dress
  2. Kitchen - clean out the pantry and stock the fridge with seasonal fresh fruits and vegetables.  Get rid of temptation.  If it's not there you resist the late night snacking.  
     
  3. Motivation - use whatever motivates you to keep on track.  Find motivational quotes on social media or pages you find inspirational, pin photos on your fridge or give yourself a weekly reward for staying on track
     
  4. Plan - plan your workouts ahead of time.  tick them off as you go and if something stands in your way reschedule so that you get every session in.  Lay your clothes out the night before. Plan your food for the coming week as well. Food preparation is key to success! 
     
  5. DO - Get up and go! Don't overthink your workout or you risk the chance of backing out

Megan's Girls' Night In
Fundraising for Cancer Council


On Sunday 9th of October, 13 of my wonderful clients attended "Megan's Girl's Night In" at the Deckhouse Woolwich to raise money for breast cancer awareness.  The ladies looked amazing out of their regular fitness gear and frocked up with heels. A fun afternoon tea was organised by one of our regular clients, Megan. With everyone's generosity, we helped raise over $12,000 for such a great cause.  Manal Garcia Fitness also donated $350 worth of training vouchers and apparel.

Megan is already thinking of some great ideas for her fundraiser next year - so we'll keep you posted!

Norton Street Chiropractic

Manal got to catch up with Norton Street Leichhardt Sports Chiropractor - Dr Timothy Elchah recently, talking all things health, fitness, and injury management.

Dr Tim focuses on altering poor habitual postures and reducing joint stiffness through patient education and a hands-on treatment approach.

Client Profile - Irene

Irene has been training with Manal Garcia Fitness since 2013. When she started she lost 10kg's within the first year and over the past 3 years has successfully kept it off.  Her secret?  Consistency.... '

"Initially I was training with Manal once per week.  I took up cycling and added an extra session then the weight fell off. I love training with this group.  Our sessions are fun and tough at the same time.  Manal kills us with her singing but never any screaming and I love that.  We are a supportive group and do a few social things through the year.  I'm so glad I picked up that business card 3 years ago and gave it a go.  I've never looked back!!"
