Little Athletics Coles Commuity Fund - Round 4

Round 4 of the Coles Little Athletics Community Fund is now open!


Don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity to receive up to $5,000 worth of brand new sports equipment.

LAPS (Little Athletics Program for Schools) Coach

We are seeking accredited coaches who are interested in coaching at schools as part of the Little Athletics Program for Schools.


LAPS coaching involves conducting practical athletics sessions for classes of school children during school hours.

Certificate of Currency


All centres will be able to create their new certificate of currency for the 2019/2020 season very shortly. The current certificate is due to expire on the 31 August 2019 and Little Athletics Australia will provide LANSW with a new template a few days before the expiry date.

Once we have received the new template, it will be upload to our website.

Raise the Bar Academy


Raise the Bar is a pathway Academy for Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander secondary school students (Years 11 and 12) who aspire to participate in athletics and study at university.


The free program, including air travel, ground transfers, accommodation and meals, consists of a five-day summer residence camp at the University of Melbourne from 12-17 January, 2020.

On Track

Little Athletics NSW is On-Track!


The skills based program developed for children ages 5-9 is building momentum in NSW, with a number of Little Athletics centres embracing the benefits of teaching children the skills of athletics and fundamental movement in a fun, creative, and modified environment.
Little Athletics NSW is offering the new program to centres on an opt-in basis and is covering the cost of the resource! Training support and assistance in integrating this program into your centres current structure is also available for participating centres.

Show Your Stripes 2km Family Fun Run


Presented by Ronald McDonald House Charities, this 2km Family Fun Run at Sydney Olympic Park will take place in conjunction with the Sydney Half.

On a flat track, this race is perfect for runners of all ages and abilities.

Every competitor receives a medal and entry is only $20 for adults and $15 for kids!

Mavis Godber

Congratulations to Mavis Godber, who was nominated by Lake Macquarie Zone for the Hunter Academy Of Sport Paul Trisley Administrator of the Year.

She received the award at a ceremony of Thursday 1st August at Newcastle Yacht Club.

Hunter Community Nitro

Raymond Terrace Athletics Club staged a Community Nitro athletics carnival on July 18, with teams from all over the Hunter competing in three categories; 7-9 years, 10-12 years and 13-15 years.


It was the first time the Nitro event had been held in the Hunter region.
