Coming Together as a Team

We have had a very busy month of February! But in this busyness the business of the Kingdom has been conducted. God has blessed our organization with an incredible team and we took a huge step forward in our ministry this last month. You can click on of the section titles below to jump to that section or you can just scroll down and read!

We couldn't do any of these things without your prayers and support. Thank you for holding up the mission of SALT Next Gen Ministries!

SNGM STAFF RETREAT

We held our first Staff Retreat as an organization and it was an incredible time of team bonding and mission alignment! We were able to enjoy a beautiful setting in the mountains of South Carolina. We also had lots of fun in the outdoors. Pray for us to continue to stay unified in the mission God has for us.

GLOBAL WORKER TRAINING

In February, we began taking our Resident Ministry Team through our 14-week training semester. We are covering 4 Training Tracks each week: Character & Calling, Evangelism & Discipleship, Cross-Cultural Communication, and Leadership & Team Dynamics.

PRAY FOR OUR 2022 STUDENT MISSIONARIES

RECRUITING AT UNION UNIVERSITY

We were on the beautiful campus of Union University to make connections and recruit students for our summer mission opportunities. We heard a great message in chapel and had many encouraging conversations with students. Pray for the Lord to help us guide the students who expressed interest.

CULTURAL IMMERSION EXPERIENCE

We led a Cultural Immersion Experience in Nashville for 30 high school students from Grace Community and Immanuel Church. We toured a temple and learned about Hinduism from a Hindu. Afterwards, we had a debrief time where we explained the differences between Hinduism and the Gospel. We taught students how to make connections with people who are far from God and how to share their stories. We concluded by enjoying desserts and tea at a local Kurdish restaurant and learning about Islam from a former Sudanese Muslim who is now a local pastor.

APARTMENT OUTREACH

We hosted our first monthly outreach event in one of the complexes where we have team members embedded. It was really cold that day and we were outdoors! But we got to engage with residents and build relationships. Pray that connections will continue to be made and that God will bring people to our Monday Bible study!
