Get Ready for Your First 7-Week Study!

<<First Name>>! Boot Camp has begun! This week marks the beginning of an exciting 7-week journey! Here’s how the SALT Boot Camp study works:
You will receive each week's study by email for the next seven weeks.
Keep them in a 3-ring binder. You will need to refer to them in your Heart-to-Heart meetings, your SALT Triad meetings, and your monthly SALT Training Meetings!

DRILL - Weekly Verse Memory

  • Every week you will be given a verse to memorize in the ESV. 
  • Why memorize Scripture? Because it is essential to your leadership! We will explore this further in Lesson 2.
  • When you meet with both your SALT Triad and your parents in your Heart-to-Heart Meeting, you will share this verse from memory and talk about how you are being impacted by the truth contained in the verses you are memorizing.

DIG - Three Reading & Study Days

  • Each week you will have three days of reading provided. You can pick which three days of your week you want to use to do the readings.
  • Each daily reading will require about 30 minutes to complete.
  • Make sure you schedule a time in your day when you can pull away from distractions and just focus on what you’re studying in the daily reading and in the Bible.
  • Day Three of the weekly reading will always include an application assignment which may require further work outside of the 30-minute devotion time. Be prepared for that.

DISCUSS - Review Questions for Heart-to-Heart Meetings and SALT Triads

  • At the end of the week you will have discussion questions provided for both your Heart-to-Heart Meetings and your SALT Triads. Use these questions in both meetings as they will help you to articulate what you’ve been learning in the weekly lessons.
  • You are encouraged to share beyond just these questions! They are designed simply to get the conversation going. 

SUBMIT - Complete Your Week

  • At the end of each week, you will be asked to log your completion online. A link will be provided which will open a form online for you to fill out.
  • Be sure to take the time to do this! It will help to give you a sense of completion and progress each week. It will also help to keep you accountable to the training.
